“Here at Sri Atmananda Memorial School, the children are not scared of their teachers or to be in school. Instead, they are so happy and enthusiastic to be in school that they become sad when it is time to wind up the day at school and keenly await their next day at school. Unless one experiences this unique relationship by being here, it would be far beyond our imagination of how a student and a teacher can build up such a strong relationship with each other – being friends, true guides and well wishers.”

“The basic approach of our school is the teacher-child relationship. This relationship can be achieved only when we go deep into the child's interest and value the child as an individual. In our school, all the teachers have built up a relationship with the children. All the teachers have different experiences to build this relationship. Sometimes, it is very easy to get close to a child and at other times it is very difficult. When the teacher builds up a relationship with a child, the child becomes very close to the teacher and he opens up, trusts the teacher and talks to the teacher freely about his home, family and friends. This relationship helps the child to become confident and independent.
The teacher-child relationship can be built up by following the child's interests. Both of these are interlinked. When the teacher knows about the likes and dislikes of a child, s/he becomes very close to the child. By entering the child's world, the teacher can guide him/her in a positive direction and impart knowledge to the child.”

“In this school, the teacher-child relationship is a natural development in which both the child and the teacher learn. It is mutually fulfilling – the child explores many academic and non-academic realms; the teacher is humbled but daring. The mutual trust extends beyond school days.”
